Pertinent Art Awards! Entries must be in soon!

November 11th, 2009

As we have mentioned many times, our event will conclude by awarding some prizes for the best Government website mash-ups and pertinent art.
We still need more of you to submit art or design pieces you have created or found that communicate issues of concern and debate in relation to Gov2.0.

Here are some examples of more recent entries.

Information is beautiful has some beautiful diagrams which communicate some global stats and polemics.

Quite political, but spot-on…

Also, one of our Italian contributors have found this, which details “original use of e-government themes in a theatre play”

Hej there guys!

We have had some questions for people regarding the format of the PechaKucha unconference.

Here is a link to the Official PechaKucha website which explains exatcly how the presentations work.
It is an excellent example of quick-fire collaboration and a fantastic prototype to test at our event.

Twingly

Our friend and malmo09 contributor, Magnus Kolsjo has set up this fantastic twingly channel for European Public Services 2.0

This collects all of the feeds in relation to the above, posted by our partners and similar European Participatory organisations and groups, under one roof.

It’s a fantastic resource, and a great introduction for those who would like to follow the European eGov story.

We have a Malmo venue: Garaget

October 8th, 2009

We’ve found a terrific venue for the popular Malmo09 event – Garaget. It has ample capacity, movable walls, a cafe. But above all the people there instinctively understand what we’re trying to do, almost better than we do ourselves. Can’t wait to meet them!

Garaget is a converted factory space which challenges and renews concepts of how we use urban space such as libraries and cafes.
